BETWEEN LAUSANNE AND GENEVA, AFTERWORK IS THE IDEAL SOLUTION TO DISCOVER THE REGION

“Between Lausanne and Geneva, La Côte brings together vineyards, mountains, countryside and attractive towns on the shores of Lake Geneva. The topography of Switzerland is concentrated in this holiday-like territory, which knows how to highlight its history, its terroir and its culture.

A varied region, La Côte first evokes the largest vineyard in the canton of Vaud. Its grapes ripen facing Lake Geneva to produce excellent red or white wines. The dominant grape variety remains Chasselas, a white wine served in all wine cellars.

Surrounded by vineyards, the towns of Morges and Nyon cultivate their lakeside atmosphere. Protected by its medieval castle, Morges faces Mont-Blanc. While the Roman city of Nyon preserves its history while vibrating to the rhythm of many festivals, including the famous Paléo.

On leaving the cities, you discover legendary castles and a countryside with a rich terroir. Hikers crisscross the great natural spaces of the Jura Vaudois Park, up to the Jura mountains. An altitude resort, Saint-Cergue offers a haven of peace and activities both in winter (skiing, snowshoeing, etc.) and in summer (hiking or cycling).
